Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations & Visits

Do I need a reservation?

+

We are by appointment only. Please let us know your preferred date and time via our booking form, or through a DM on Instagram (@asuka_nails) or Nailbook.

Is it all right if it's my first time?

+

Of course. During your consultation we'll listen to the look you're after and any concerns about your nails, then suggest a design made just for you. Please come with peace of mind.

The location is a little hard to find.

+

We're a single row house, 1 minute on foot from Tanimachi 6-chome Station. We'll send detailed directions once you've booked. Just let us know when you arrive and we'll come to meet you.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

+

Yes. We would be grateful if you could let us know by the day before. A cancellation fee may apply for last-minute or same-day cancellations.

Menu & Designs

How is the design decided?

+

You're welcome to decide while browsing your own reference images and samples, or our work on Instagram. Consultations for a 'leave it to us' design are equally welcome.

How long does an appointment take?

+

As a guide, a single color is about 90 minutes, while designs and foot nails take around 2 to 3 hours. Please allow ample time for your appointment.

Can you remove gel applied at another salon?

+

Yes, we accept removals from other salons (additional fee). We remove it carefully so as not to strain your nails.

My natural nails are thin and I worry about damage.

+

We use gel that is gentle on the nails and tailor each service to their condition. We also offer care and paraffin menus that guide your natural nails toward better health.

Pricing & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

+

We accept cash, major credit cards and QR code payments.

Is there an extra charge for removal?

+

For gel we applied, removal at your next reapplication is complimentary. À la carte removal of our work and removals from other salons carry an additional fee.

How much is the design fee?

+

It varies with the art involved. Rest assured, we'll explain the price during your consultation before we begin.
